Quincy Patrol Division
The patrol division is the backbone of the Quincy Police Department. Patrol Officers respond to a full range of calls, everything from parking complaints and barking dogs to illegal narcotics complaints and shootings.
The patrol division is commanded by two patrol lieutenants who oversee the day shift and night shift. Each shift consists of two squads - for a total of four.

Patrol officers work 12-hour shifts and are off every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Patrol shifts are from 6 am to 6 pm, or vice versa

Each patrol squad has two sergeants and a minimum of 9 patrol officers

K9 officers are assigned a 3 pm to 3 am power shift

Patrol cars are outfitted with protective prisoner transport barriers, a laptop computer, multi-band two-way radio and an assortment of emergency equipment
